“Drivers Wanted”
90年代の中ごろのフォルクスワーゲンの有名なスローガンです（アメリカだけで使われたものなのかも知れませんが・・・）。
CMなどで、「人生という道にはDriverとPassengerが居ますが、あなたはどっちですか？」と問い、もちろん、ほとんどの人や私は、自分はDriverだと心の中で答えたわけですが、ふと思い立って、そのときの映像（キャンペーンのコンセプトを表現したプレゼンビデオですかね）を見たら何かアホな感じがするんです。
ということは、90年代中ごろは、私もほとんどの人もアホだったということかも知れません。
今同じ質問をされたら、「まあたぶん、単なるPassengerだよね」と、多くの人は答えるのではないでしょうか。私より若い人も子どもも含めて。
Driverは幻想の世界にしか居ないということが、やっとわかった感じがしているのは、きっと私だけではないはず・・・。
松尾芭蕉をちゃんと学校で習ったというのに・・・。
そして、学校から帰ると、３回くらいイギー・ポップを聞いていたというのに・・・。
なかなか気づかないというのがまた、Passengerであるが故かも知れません。
